Every Kilimanjaro hiking route offers breathtaking scenery as you climb up through six unique vegetation zones. Machame and Marangu are the most popular routes we offer however below is some important information to consider when choosing the route for your climb.
This is often described as the ‘short and steep route.’ It has a high success rate for summiting, especially when climbers choose the 7 day itinerary. It is a good option for aclimatisation.

Machame
This is the only route departing from the Northern side of the mountain. It is a flatter route for the first few days which makes for easy trekking. Usually completed with seven day itinerary but has limited climb high, sleep low opportunities which means that acclimatisation is more challenging than on other Kilimanjaro routes.
Catered Camping
Rongai
Lemosho climbers depart from the Western side of Mt Kilimanjaro. It is one of the most remote routes and offers the chance to hike across the Shira Plateau.

Lemosho
Marangu has the reputation of being the easiest route of all Kilimanjaro climbs, however it is also the shortest route which means opportunities for acclimatisation are limited.
