Learn from the Maasai with an authentic and local experience. Explore a traditional boma (village) and be invited into a manyatta (home) getting unique insight into how the Maasai live. We recommend taking a nature walk alongside your host to fully experience the wisdom the Maasai have about the plants and environment they live amongst.

Lake Eyasi and the Hadzabe Bushmen
Lake Eyasi is a seasonal shallow endorheic salt lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The Hadzabe tribe live in the region around the lake. They are one of the few remaining tribes that still live the same way they did hundreds of years ago. They subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting as one of the last remaining hunter-gatherers in the African continent.

Lake Chala
Lake Chala is a unique caldera lake, and is thought to be the deepest inland body of water in Africa. This lake is fed by underground springs from Mt. Kilimanjaro.
It holds a great diversity of life. From lush lake shore forest to stunning volcanic savannah, from river beds carved through ancient rock, to thick bush. Walking at Lake Chala is a magical experience that will put you back in touch with nature. You can also enjoy canoeing or kayaking in the lake.

Chemka Hot Springs
Chemka Hot Springs (also known as Kikuletwa) is the best place to visit after a Kilimanjaro hike or a safari adventure. As the only place in Tanzania where the groundwater interactes with geothermal sources, it is an oasis with a unique phenomenon. It is made up of a number of small lakes with warm, never-stagnating water.
Great to enjoy as a day trip from Moshi or Arusha, with bbq and beverages available to buy on site. Camping can also be arranged.
